Before the rains come and after the wild pioneers (aka "weeds") have settled down... Now is the season for spreading seedballs. "Seed balling" is a method of molding clay, compost, and seed blends of your choosing into small balls to be dried and scattered wherever you choose. This preserves the seed in a portable germination package, complete with nutrients and protection from the elements until it receives the catalyzing rains which will dissolve the clay, leaving the seeds in a nutrient nest - ready to grow!

An ideal location for your seedballs would be a neglected vacant lot.

We'll be demonstrating and making seedballs at the beautiful Green City Gallery. If you've been meaning to check out the Gallery, this is a great opportunity to browse and socialize.

We'll be serving some hot apple cider so bring your own cup, if possible.

Stock up for the winter season of guerrilla-gardening. Bring a bag or box to carry home your seedballs.
